Class Summary

Experienced DBA's with an Oracle 8i background will learn the new features of Oracle 9i. The class is designed as a series of lectures on the new features introduced with Oracle 9i. The structure of the class can be modified to allow delegates to focus on the areas in which they are interested.

The class consists of a mixture of lecture and hands on lab exercises. This class includes new features for Oracle9i Release 2.

Who Should Attend

This class is intended for Oracle DBA's with experience of earlier versions of Oracle. The class provides a comprehensive examination of the new features included with Oracle9i Release 2.

An understanding of DBA work using prior versions of Oracle.

This class requires an individual workstation for each delegate with a running Oracle9i database system. Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 2 needs to be installed on each workstation. Each workstation should also be networked, allowing delegates to maximise their learning by experimenting further with the additional requirements for RMAN in a networked environment.
